Tokyo Steel enso® products offer significantly reduced embodied carbon emissions compared with standard steel products produced using a typical blast furnace route (the predominant process for flat steel products).

When compared to similar products from the market leading EU blast furnace producer, enso® Hot Rolled Coil includes approximately 1/3 of the embodied carbon emissions, and enso® Hot Rolled Plate includes approximately 1/5 of the embodied carbon emissions.

This is achieved through the EAF steelmaking process, and efficient rolling process as detailed below.

To further enhance the enso® product range, Tokyo Steel has plans to make an ultra-low carbon emissions product, manufactured using 100% renewable energy. Please contact for additional information.
